Even kings were coming to visit the Oracle and listen to the predictions. You will visit the temple and the sanctuary of Apollo, the Castalia fountain, where thousands of pilgrims cleaned for centuries, the stadium where were held Olympic Games. The museum shows statues and other treasure of that time, with extremely remarkable art details. Beside the archeological past of the area, you will find also Byzantine marks with churches and monasteries. The most famous is the Ossios Loukas built in the 16th century by the Ermit Ossios. The mosaic and icons of this monastery are unique in Greece.
